Whether it be on the phone or face to face interaction, no courtesy is ever shown! I get it it's an auto part store etc, but the arrogance and condescending manor in which I've seen customers treated almost every time of the entire 5 times I've been there. Specifically a guy named John I believe? I think he mostly does commercial which is why maybe his social interaction with the general public is so beyond par but who knows. In total I think most customers would have an issue with most of the way the entire store is run and most of all the people who run it. I will never go back and it's not because of 1 particular situation but every variable on every transaction/time I've been in the store. Good luck to this place god knows with how many general auto parts stores there are around here I doubt people will keep putting up with dealing with these disrespectful halfwits who can barely locate and order a particular part for you let alone treat you like your bothering them"as there eyes crossing themselves none the less" Feedback: Get rid of the rep named John Jeff etc who I believe does commercial

I placed my order on-line to complete a simple brake job on my Ram 1500. When I arrived at the Torrington CT store several hours later to pick up my parts I was told that they only had 1 of the 2 rotors I had already paid for in-stock. I asked why I was not called and told of this before I traveled the 19 miles to pick up my parts and all I got was a sorry. Then, I was told that I could call the following day after 11am to check if the rotor was in, but because it was Labor Day, it likely wouldn't arrive until Tuesday. When I got home with my partial order, I called Customer Service. They were very apologetic and helpful. They contacted the person in Torrington that I had spoken with (Derek Z.) and he lied and said that he had called but no one answered. (My wife, son, and caller id will all refute this fairy tale.) Danna at Customer Service found the rotor I needed at the Terryville CT store, gave it to me for free, and arranged for me to pick it up. The manager at the Terryville CT store was waiting for me when I arrived and was very friendly. So, a brake job that should have taken an hour to complete took me nearly 4 hours with all the running around. Not to mention the more than 100 miles I put on my car. With all that being said, I would recommend using any other store besides the Torrington CT location! I wil never go there again. Feedback: 1.Accurately reflected your inventory on-line.2.When you learned you were unable to fulfill the order, called the customer.3.Offered the customer who traveled to your store options to make him whole (alternate parts maybe)4.Offered to call the customer when the part came in, rather than require the customer to make additional calls to the store.5.Be honest and tell the truth.

I am giving advance auto parts only one star for my last experience at the Torrington CT location. Have been in many other times and have had good experiences. This time was to purchase a rear wiper blade for my Honda. After the purchase the cashier handed my husband the package. When asked about the installation with purchase, he replied the instructions are in the package. THAT WAS NOT THE POINT. You offer free installation with purchase and we were told in so many words, DO IT YOURSELF. I can buy the blades anywhere, but used Advance Auto because of that one convenience. There were two clerks and the other did not speak up either. The management should really pay close attention to the people they hire. This was the evening shift, August 19, 2016 at the East Main Street, Torrington CT store. Feedback: Pay attention to the people that you hire and how your customers are being handled.
